Educational Recitals

We educate the school community through educational recitals on the vocal classical genre, styles, and its history in Puerto Rico. We use as visual resources the OIP historical collection and specialized educational materials.

Frequently asked questions

What does a visit cost?

Nothing. Visits are free for school communities, thanks to our funders and allies.

What does the school provide?

Just a space with electricity that fits a pianist and up to three singers, preferably indoors (outdoor spaces are evaluated case by case). We bring everything else, from music stands and props to the projector and learning materials.

How far in advance should I request?

At least four weeks. We travel across the whole island; if your school is outside the San Juan area, a little more time helps us coordinate.

How many students can take part?

As many as the space allows. Since we bring all the equipment, group size is coordinated with the Project ahead of the visit.

Does my school need a music program?

No. Visits are open to schools with and without music programs.

What times are available?

Morning or afternoon. We can also offer back-to-back sessions on the same day, of the same program or combining programs.
