Adrinelle Chiesa García

Bio:

Adrinelle Chiesa García is a Puerto Rican soprano. She was born on August 17, 2000 in San Juan and raised in the town of Cayey. Her interest in music occurred very early in her childhood primarily by the sound of the flute played by her older brother. Her first music class was with her mother who gave her a recorder and helped her learn to play it when she was 11 years old. She later began playing the alto saxophone, then switched to the oboe and decided to continue her studies by completing a bachelor’s degree in oboe performance at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. Chiesa had always been interested in learning more about classical vocal performance and decided to take individual lessons with voice teachers Diana Alvarado and José Torres.

In april 2021, she participated in “Zarzuela, Voz y ¡Olé! competition were she won individual lessons with prestigious tenor Joel Prieto. In July 2022, Chiesa was accepted in the opera summer program “Varna International Music Academy” were she performed the role of Suor Dolcina from the opera Suor Angelica by Puccini. After graduating from her bachelor’s degree last june, she is currently completing an Artist Diploma in Voice Perfomance in the same university with Dr. Alba Franco-Cancel. She is part of the Conservatory’s Opera Workshop and will be playing partial roles such as Euridice from Orfeo ed Euridice, Sophie from Der Rosenkavalier and Yvette from La Rondine. Next year she will play a principal role as Gasparina in La Canterina by Haydn with the Conservatory’s Symphony Orchestra.
