Olga Iglesias Project Receives $20K in Seed Capital

Olga Iglesias Project, Inc. (OIP) received $20K in seed capital during the end of the year event of Grupo Guayacán, Inc. as winners of the Art and Culture category of EnterPRize 2022, a business competition organized by said institution every year since 2005.

Olga Iglesias Project, Inc. (OIP) received $20K in seed capital during the end of the year event of Grupo Guayacán, Inc. as winners of the Art and Culture category of EnterPRize 2022, a business competition organized by said institution every year since 2005.

EnterPRize focuses on Puerto Rican start-up companies with early revenue traction. The program offers business education workshops covering topics such as marketing and sales, finance and revenue models, governance, and more.

This is combined with a series of feedback sessions in which participants have the opportunity to present their company to a panel of local mentors who provide guidance during the competition.

OIP shares that this seed capital allows it to continue offering its art and culture workshops to young people from 12 to 17 years of age. The workshops are offered by the Fellowship singers belonging to the Olga Iglesias Fellowship Program.

The workshops, called “educational recitals”, feature live musical demonstrations of the Puerto Rican classical music repertoire presented by the scholars and invited artists. In order to demonstrate various themes of the context of the music and its history, historical objects such as photos, programs and videos are also presented, which are part of the heritage collection of the Olga Iglesias Project, Inc. The singers also interact with the audience present, making the talk interactive and entertaining.

Founder and Executive Director exclaimed, “We are very proud to belong to the family of Puerto Rican companies supported by Grupo Guayacán! We are honored that they recognize the added value that we are bringing to the cultural market by supporting our talents in the fine arts.”
